GSI develops galvo, mirror
and servo mechanisms for laser applications. The existing industry
model is that OEMs purchase single units from several different
companies and then test them in their in-house labs to determine
which best suits their needs.
The virtual lab concept is an attempt to make that process obsolete
by allowing vendors to test and validate GSI equipment for their
applications online, without the need of purchasing competing
products and performing further testing for evaluation.
