MITRE provides some fascinating
3D assignments. For example, imagine illustrating the future role
of the Air Force delivering decisive force anywhere in the world
within 48 hours – based on America’s next generation
intel and command and control capabilities. Imagine creating a
“virtual” European landscape, as seen from space,
with a completely different geography and geopolitical makeup,
to discuss the advantages of a new, emerging radar satellite technology.
Imagine the future “re-districting” of the civilian
airspace over the United States, because of changes in aviation
technologies, the rise of private corporate jets, hot air ballooning,
and the emergence of a private enterprise space industry. Imagine
visualizing the coming changes in commercial flight communication
systems and the implications for both pilots and traffic controllers
… all of these, and more, are 3D visualization assignments
we’ve undertaken with MITRE for the DoD and the FAA.
